A Stunning Tribute to Spain’s Alhambra Palace

 

The Lion Fountain is one of the most exquisite and historically inspired water features at MacCallum More Museum & Gardens (MMMG). This breathtaking replica of the famous Alhambra Fountain in Grenada, Spain, features a striking circular basin surrounded by twelve intricately sculpted lion statues, each representing strength and nobility. With its flowing water and Moorish-style craftsmanship, the Lion Fountain brings a touch of Spanish elegance to the gardens, inviting visitors to pause and admire its timeless beauty.

Please note: Due to weathering and past vandalism, the Lion Fountain is currently undergoing evaluation for future restoration. While the fountain is not in its original condition, it remains a significant piece of the gardens' history and artistic vision.
